Chrysalis Yacht Design is a British design studio dedicated to the creation of extraordinary explorer yachts and bespoke cruise vessels. Founded by Beau Mansfield, the studio
specialises in delivering singular, one-of-a-kind vessels that unite artistic vision, engineering excellence and the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Under Beau’s leadership, the studio provides a fully integrated service — combining exterior styling, interior architecture, naval architecture coordination and project management — from initial concept through to build and delivery.
With a background spanning luxury cruise ship design, superyacht interiors and complex vessel execution, Chrysalis Yacht Design brings a rare combination of creative imagination and technical discipline. Before focusing exclusively on bespoke yachts, Beau gained extensive experience working on very large cruise ship projects, including major international vessels such as the Queen Mary 2. This background in complex, large-scale marine environments enforces his approach to superyacht design, ensuring layouts, systems and detailing are not only beautiful, but efficient, buildable, and operationally sound.
Throughout his career, Beau has worked closely with leading shipyards, naval architects and specialist engineering teams. His experience extends beyond design leadership to direct involvement in construction oversight, including hands-on supervision during the build and delivery of notable superyachts.
This practical shipyard knowledge enables a seamless translation from concept to reality, with uncompromising standards of quality and execution.
Beau is also recognised for his forward-looking perspective on the future of yacht design, with a focus on sustainability, hybrid technologies, smart systems, and lifestyle driven spaces that reflect the evolving expectations of modern yacht owners.

Our Process
Each project begins with a comprehensive design brief defining the yacht’s size, purpose, and technical and aesthetic requirements. From this foundation, we develop an initial concept that includes general arrangement plans and high-quality 3D visualisations, allowing clients to clearly envision the final result.
